Guarding Your Spirit and Soul

Proverbs 22: 3, 5: A prudent man foresees bad and hides himself, however the simple pass on and are punished… Thorns and snares are in the way of the twisted; he who guards his soul will be definately not them. Fast Guard Service LLC

This is an interesting statement made by the author of Proverbs. The prudent or very discreet man foresees evil and hides himself. The man who guards his heart will be far from thorns and snares. That is important for all of us as believers to shield our souls and sanctify ourselves for the Master. Sanctify meaning set yourself apart from the world.

— Living Bible
Proverbs 22: 5 The rebel walks a thorny, shifty road; the man who values his soul will stay away.

It is vital for us to realize that inside our Christian walk, there will be evil, enticement, and “thorns and snares”. We all have disadvantages and it is important for every single individuals to identify these stumbling blocks in our lives, and officer our spirit and heart and soul from them. The adversary knows what our flaws are and exploits them daily to cause all of us problems in our lives and cause us to stumble in our walk. If the enemy triggers you to lose your witness, then he, not God, has the triumph in your daily life,!

Matthew 5: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Daddy in heaven.

Everything we do in our lives should glorify God. Just about every action we take, decision we make, deed we do, or things we say should glorify The almighty. We as believers should live that glorifies Goodness to the world, so that others will see God in our lives and want what we have! Amen?

If we are constantly living a “double life” of bad thing and doubt, then we are not glorifying Our god.
It is the every day things in your life that actually speak of your witness. It is far from how much you speak about Goodness, and what Jesus has done in your life, but how you live it! Amen!
Talking and sharing about Jesus is important, but since the old saying goes, “actions speak louder than words. ”

So how do we guard ourselves? This is amazingly simple but hard. Amazing, for the reason that The almighty has provided the best way through our relationship with Christ our Lord. Simple, because it is spelled away very plainly in The lord’s Word. Hard, in that it takes commitment, commitment and willingness to stop our pride and control, and yield ourselves to Our god also to His will in our lives.
Giving up control is probably the hardest thing we as believers do. It really is human being nature to want to control all the time, some more so than others, but just like driving a vehicle only one person can drive at a time. In your life, merely one person can be in control and this needs to be the Lord Christ in the person of the Holy Spirit, not you.

Jesus, when he educated the disciples how to pray, told us a very basic truth in starting this method.

— California king James
Matthew 6: 13: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: Intended for thine is the empire, and the power, and the glory, forever. Entendu.

Jesus told us to pray not to be led into temptation, but to be delivered from evil.

— New California king James
Matthew 6: 13: And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. for You own the kingdom and the power and the fame forever. Amen.

We are to make praying for deliverance from the foe part of our daily prayers. We are also to pray not to be led into temptations. Trials and temptation are not the same thing. Trials come into your life, to test your faith. Temptations come as a stumbling block, to make you fail and loose your victory. Know the difference so that as Proverbs twenty-two tells us, foresee the evil and hid from it.

James 1: 2-5: My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various studies, realizing that the testing of your faith produces tolerance. But let patience have its perfect work, that you could be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks intelligence, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will receive to him.
